Terms & Regulations
1. Terms of Reference
A. In the rules and regulations for participation in WORLD WATER CITIES FORUM Exhibition(WWF), the term “Exhibitor”shall include all
employees, servants and agents of any individual company, partnership firm
or organization who have applied for space for the purpose of participating
in the exhibition.
B. The term 'host' shall mean "Ministry of Science and WORLD WATER CITIES FORUM",
"Daegu Metropolitan City", "Province of Gyeongsangbuk-Do".
C. The term 'organizer' shall mean "Daegu Exhibition & Convention Center",“Daegu Urban Development Corporation”,
"National IT Industry promotion Agency", "Etnews".
D. The term 'exhibition' shall mean "WORLD WATER CITIES FORUM(WWF)".
2. Application for Participation and Terms of Payment
A. All applications for participation shall be made via the prescribed application
form, which shall be submitted to the organizer or his/her representatives.
B. The contract shall be established when the exhibitor submits the duly-
accomplished and signs application form and pays the organizer 50% of the
space and/or shell-stand costs. The remaining balance (50% of the space
and/or shell-stand costs+facilities application fee) must be paid by September 6. 2020. The organizer, however, may defer or refuse the acceptance of an
application in the event that sufficient space is not available or if the
announced exhibit is not considered by organizer to be germane to the
exhibition.
C. The exhibitor shall inform the organizer any alteration of the submitted
applications. Any disadvantage of the exhibitor due to uninforming the
organizer shall be responsible for the exhibitor.
3. Allocation of Exhibit Space
A. The organizer shall allocate the space in accordance with the order of
application, size of the space applied for, the nature of the exhibits or in the
manner the organizer deems fit.
B. The organizer shall reserve the right to change the location and/or the size of
the space allocated to the exhibitor at any time prior to the commencement
of the build-up of the exhibition should it be demanded by exceptional
circumstances. Under these circumstances, the exhibitor shall have no claim
for compensation as a result of changes.
4. Use of Exhibit Space
A. Exhibitors are bound to exhibit the announced products and to staff the
exhibits with competent personnel during the entire period of the exhibition.
B. All exhibits must be in accordance with the description on the application
form, and be related to the theme of the exhibition. Retail sales without
permission of the organizer are strictly prohibited. If the exhibitor violates
the above-mentioned rules, the organizer is authorized to stop the
exhibitor's activities, remove his/her exhibits or order the dismantling of
his/her booth. in such a case, the participation fee shall not be refunded and
the exhibitor shall have no claim for refund or compensation.
C. The organizer reserves the right to refuse any person's admittance into the
exhibition.
D. Exhibitors are not allowed to sublet the space allotted to other parties, either
wholly or in part, without the written consent of the organizer.
E. Modifications and additional decorations such as painting the floor, ceiling
and pillars will not be permitted, and consequent damage to the exhibition
hall shall be compensated to the organizer by the exhibitor.
F. The exhibitor shall conduct and operate its exhibit so as not to annoy,
endanger or interfere with the rights of other exhibitors and visitors. Any
practices resulting in complaints may be prohibited by the organizer.
-Cancellation before August 30. 2020. : 50% of the total payment (or reduced
amount) must be paid.
-From September 1. 2020. to September 6. 2020. : 80% of the total payment (or
reduced amount) must be paid.
-Cancellation after September 7. 2020. : 100% of the total payment (or reduced
amount) must be paid.
5. Penalty of the Cancellation & Reduction of Size
In the event that the exhibitor refuses to use all or part of the space
allocated, the amount of payment stated below must be made within
7days. The early deposit will be deducted as a penalty, the amount of
shortage must be added and the amount of surplus will be returned.
6. Cancellation and Changes of the Exhibition
In the event of the cancellation of the exhibition by the organizer, the
participation fee paid shall be refunded. However, if the cancellation was
caused by force majeure, the fee shall not be refunded. The organizer
reserves the right to change the venue and duration of the exhibition if
exceptional circumstances demand. In this case, the fee paid will not be
refunded and the exhibitor shall have no claim for the compensation as a
result of the changes.
7. Construction and Decoration of Stand and Display
All exhibitors must complete their construction and/or decoration, and
move-in and display of exhibits by the date and time stipulated by the
organizer.
8. Movement of Exhibits and Stand Fittings
Exhibitors shall remove all exhibits and stand fittings from the exhibition hall
within the period stipulated by the organizer and indemnify the organizer
against any and all costs incurred by reason of delay or damage to the
exhibition hall.
9. Fire Regulations
A. Materials used in stand and display construction must be properly
fireproofed in accordance with the regulations of KOREA.
B. Should circumstances necessitate, the organizer has the right to make
changes In the exhibitor's stand in the interest of fire control.
10. Security, Risk and Insurance
A. The organizer shall take all reasonable security precautions in the interests of
exhibitors and visitors.
B. Exhibitors shall be held responsible for any loss or theft of, or damage to
exhibits, stand fittings or any article belonging to the exhibitor during the
construction, exhibition and dismantling periods.
C. Exhibitors shall be responsible for insuring goods exhibited. In the event that
the exhibitor intentionally or negligently causes a fire, theft, breakage or
other accidents inflicting damages to the organizer or others, the exhibitor
shall be responsible for damages.
11. Supplementary Clauses
A. To ensure the smooth management of the exhibition, the organizer shall,
whenever necessary, have the right to issue supplementary regulations in
addition to those in the rules and regulations for participation in WORLD WATER CITIES FORUM.
B. Any additional written regulation instructions shall form part of the rules and
regulations for the participation in WORLD WATER CITIES FORUM and shall be binding to the
exhibitors.
C. The exhibitor shall also observe the regulations for the management of the
exhibition halls of the Daegu Exhibition & Convention Center(EXCO).
12. Arbitration of Disputes
Any dispute, difference, or question which may arise at any time hereafter
between the organizer and the exhibitor touching on the true construction
of these terms and conditions for participation or the rights and liabilities of
the parties shall be settled by arbitration in accordance with the commercial
arbitration rules of the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board in Seoul,
Korea.
The award of the above arbitration shall be final and binding upon both
parties
